| Bio: | Hello, Ol' Friend: I have resurrected this account, since a lot of my old friends use LiveJournal, and I would like to reconnect with some of them. Some friends go way back, to the year 2001, when I first started posting on the internet. Ah yes, the year 2001. Who can forget 2001? Some awful things happened that year - mainly 9/11 and the inauguration of President Bush... but in the spring of '01 is when I was introduced to a realm called the Forest Inn... this is the first place that I engaged in online roleplay. I certainly wasn't as good at RP back then as I am now - I was almost done with the 8th grade back then, while now I am in my third year of college going for a major in Professional Writing. I don't think I would have the same online friends that I have now if it weren't for the Forest Inn being my gateway. Some of you might know what happened to me in 2004... I lost a friend in February, a father in June and a brother in September. The day I found out what happened was a Tuesday, a Wednesday and a Saturday respectively... they are that engraved into my memory. But, not many of you know what happened in 2005... do you? I didn't document it that much, but certainly this was a year that was more important in my life than any other year in my life... 2005 was the year that I finally branched outside of the internet and got a social life IRL. That year I graduated from High School, entered College, got my Driver's License, got into Heavy Metal, and started driving to concerts all around my area. Those concerts provided me a unique socializing venture, and I soon entered a world where even bands from Louisiana notice when I get a hair cut (IF you're curious, the band is Goatwhore, their lead singer asked why I cut my long hair on Wednesday, February 5th when they opened for Exodus) This is why the majority of my Myspace friends are people I know IRL, or bands I met or have seen, or bands I like. Because of the various sort of connections that I formed by making friends with bands and their managers, it is likely that in the near future, I will be a writer for the Pennsylvania Musician magazine. This is just a shaving off of a cube shaped tip off of a really really large iceberg... What if the next step is Kerrang! or Metal Hammer? I could be the first CD reviewer for those magazines that actually knows the difference between thrash metal and nu-metal... hahaha, I am joking, but it is funny to read articles that compare bands like Bullet For My Valentine to Metallica... Since 2005, the majority of the music I have been listening to has been some form of metal. Whether it be classic, thrash, speed, black, power, doom, sludge, death, melodic death, progressive, folk, viking, pagan, celtic or symphonic metal... I have heard 'em all... and I want MOAR. Metal is my anti-drug! Another very recent significant event occurred... I turned 21 on December 26, 2007. This means I can drink and make a bitter face at the taste of beer. This means I can down a shot of Jägermeister, and then make that bitter face at the strength of it. This means I can sip an amaretto sour and enjoy it. This means I can go to a bar, get offered a free drink, and say "No thank you" I am a casual drinker, I drink very sparingly, maybe once if I am at a place that serves alcohol, and then I always leave time for that alcohol to leave my system before getting into a vehicle. This is because, you know, driving a vehicle under the influence of alcohol is something a retard would do. So here we are, in the year 2008. I can probably predict that the next time I update this profile will probably be sometime around the year 2012... but maybe not. I would, however, like to look back from the year 2012 onto this year, 2008, as the year I truly honor each and every friend I have made over the years... | |||||
